I think it’s very cool the way you can upgrade your skates to the next levle

read a few online reviews about quad-skates and got good reviews. spoke to Lee at quad skates who is a die hard skater and knows his stuff about bauer and general skating and what to look for when building a pair of skates ive been using my new skates for 6 weeks and true to word the skates are better than expected with a bearing upgrade and good quality wheels. the skates took a while to break in and feel fine now. Gotta hand it to quad skates - they are by far the best skate shop I've ever been to and spent my money with them for the past 3 years and best of all, offer up decent, honest advice. no bs just the best advice from a decent knowledgeable guys

Bought a pair of XLP with no wheels and was concerned the plate was at an angle. A quick phone call to Lee at Quad Skates who explained how plates are fitted and the alignment - on inspection they were installed perfectly (I mean pin sharp accurate) and the alignment was second to none. I fitted my 30year old kryptonics, and felt so good to roll on. I was so happy with the service at Quad Skates, I bought more wheels and bearings for indoor skating plus a new pair for my missus so we can park skate at our leisure. The whole shopping experience has been amazing and has really enjoyed speaking to Quad Skates and sharing skate experiences. This is a real, true and honest skate shop who, like all the other reviews state, is genuinely the best in the UK

I've been a long time skater and bought my skates from different shops over the years and more recently eBay and Amazon. I returned to quad skates (online) to pick up a pair of Bauer xlp's with Sims snakes and after going to collect them from their shop in Gloucester, helped me remember what skating is all about, the community, the information, advice and support from knowledgeable skaters. Oh, the shop banter too. I've missed this from my life for many years and was like taking a timeship back to my teenage years. Good old-fashioned advice and no online BS from people with their opinions, which are usually wrong. Okay, so I've given these guys grief over the years and now realise why they stock their product range. For recreational skating they are the experts. Let's face it, 90% of skaters, skate for leisure so they have the market for skating in the UK. This has to be the best skate shop in the U .and yes it's cliche but you need to see it to believe it. Kid in a sweet shop, a real skate store (not these fashion places with wheels and bearings) .... I'm talking real skate gear and what's more.... They know their stuff. Go visit them if you're looking for a road trip

Bought the blue bauer and love the blue plate choice. best part of my buying experience is the colour choices available. nowhere else offers this amout of choice and the pricing is the best online. will be going to the shop to buy more skates. definately worth the money and recommed to all

bought these with the hope to get fit and lose some weight. Its been a few months since i bout them and havent had the time to thank the guys here - they are FREAKING AWESOME. the best colour combo and roll so well... not lost much weight but having an amazing time rolling around the coast/prom areas on the south coast and can only recommend these guys as the best skate store in the UK. YES - thats my real life experience from shopping around and the quality of these skates, the plates, wheels and bearings - far far far better than anything else around. I wanted to leave this review for Lee at quadskates as a way to express my thanks for an excellent level of service from this shop. I tried calling a few times but no answer so left a message and didn't think much of getting a call back. about 1hr later Lee called me and we chatted for what seemed like ages about all types of skates ranging from riedell to bont to old bauer to new bauer and everything in between. Wheels and bearings conversation was out of this world with a whole new insight to bearings and the brites bearings range in comparison to bones bearings and wasn't too sure about the quality but happy to save a few quid based on his recommendation. Skates arrived as promised on Tuesday and went skating on them straight away and totally blown away with the fit, comfort, ride, speed and everything Lee mentioned about these skates was bang on accurate. its so rare to find a shop who actually knows the products they are selling and I can see why quadskates are recommended friend to friend, like I was. I spoke to one other skate shop who seemed like they couldn't be bothered to answer any of my questions or make a recommendation. I think all their items was on preorder so it was a 3+ week wait for skates with rock plates (and a higher price than I paid) and to be honest, I think the woman on the phone was rude and lacked any knowledge of skating - NOT SO with quadskates - within a week, skates delivered and rolling with plenty of stock all colours, options and the one I really enjoyed was colour matching my skates all blue/black colours. Black trucks and blue brushings look sick with these skates. really happy with the service, knowledge, product availability, colour choice and delivery time with these guys and more than happy to recommend to everyone reading this. Will be back to buy some more skates for the missus when funds allow

Got these skates today with the Black/Blue customisation. Absolutely love them! Much faster and smoother than my other skates. Excellent service

Got a pair of these and YES they are the nuts with upgraded bearings and smooth as **** rolling around on pavements and in the parks. Colour combo with blue wheels, black trucks and black laces looks amazeballs and well worth every penny. This is now my fifth pair of skates from these guys over the past 14 years so that says it all. These guys know their stuff -far better than other wannabe so called skate shops.
